It's a Boy!!!

Ryder Cagle made his debut today and his daddy and I couldn't be more thrilled. We decided to invite the grandparents to this unforgettable ultrasound that would change our lives forever... Yep, it was a packed house! Gigi, Mambo and Grandaddy were all present for the announcement of our sweet little boy (Popa had to work and we missed him, but we know he was there with us in spirit). Being naive new parents we had absolutely no idea you would be able to see the anatomy so clearly! As the ultrasound tech zoomed in on our little man he said "Well there is no mistaking what that is!" as all five of us yelled in unison "It's a boy"! I immediately turned to find Trever staring at the screen with the most “proud daddy” expression I have ever seen. "I was hoping for a boy all along" was his first reaction. My dad following quick behind with "I think every man hopes for a boy their first one". Here is our precious boy… Ryder Cagle

One of the things I love most about my huge crazy southern family is our traditions and as we were leaving the appointment my incredible mother handed me a gift. Inside I find the tiny precious outfit both of my brothers wore home from the hospital. One of our family traditions is to have all the babies in our family wear home the same outfit, a dress for the girls and a sailor outfit for the boys. As I held up this priceless heirloom I couldn’t help but smile… it was at that moment that I realized that in four short months I will be dressing my little man in this outfit and placing him carefully in his car seat to take him home… the family Trev and I have always dreamed about will become a reality. Thank you God for answering our prayers so quickly… to you I give all the glory.

Strawberry Lemonade

Since becoming pregnant, trying to cut coffee from my diet has been incredibly hard. However, I have managed to cut back immensely. Recently I have discovered that it's not a coffee addiction I struggle with~ I simply like having a fun drink in tow! Inspired by amazing fresh raspberry lemonade Matty made, my new obsession is fresh strawberry lemonade. Not only has it successfully replaced my caffeine loaded $4 Starbucks drinks~ it is an irresistibly refreshing summer drink! There are many different types of lemonade you can use~ here is what I prefer...

First chill the lemonade of your choice...

Next, cut fresh strawberries and place in blender with ice...

Lastly, pour blended strawberries over chilled lemonade and enjoy!
