Teaching is my passion, the hat I wear most often, the Art that fuels my existence... a true gift from God. Almost on a weekly basis I am humbly reminded just how blessed I am to spend my days amongst angels. Mostly, this wave of gratefulness washes over me unexpectedly and in the midst of a lesson and today during morning circle was no different... I smiled gratefully to myself as I silently thanked my God for the life he has given me. “The greatest sign of success for a teacher... is to be able to say, "The children are now working as if I did not exist." As my first year is coming to an end and my students are preparing for Kindergarten… I can’t help but tear up when I think about the progress my little ones have made. As sad as I might be to see them go I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with joy that they no longer need me.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS POST! I am in the same boat in that they are so ready for Kindergarten and don't need me. But how I am trying to treasure all of their sweet faces and cute personalities each day until the school year ends. Love you.
